“Flaxen” - Strawberry Roan QH Mare 6

Flaxen is a Strawberry Roan quarter-horse mix mare. She was adopted / rescued as one of the horses rescued by the La Pine Hoof beats riding group.  She was so infected with worms that most thought she was pregnant.

Matt Wilson started working with her and George and Cindy are refining her. She has the potential to become a great cow horse.  We have introduced Flaxen to the trail and she has an independent personality. Flaxen needs an advanced rider to take her to the next level. She is small in size, easy to ground mount, and we’re working on her overall skills. She has what you would call a “cold back” and needs to be warmed up before hopping on.
