Ghost Rock takes pride in our Horse Lease Program. For the past year – GRREC has leased 50% of our rescue herd. As each horse reaches their potential for usefulness, they require a qualified person to take them to the next level.

Some horses are ready to ride, take lessons – go out to the trail and work.
Some are looking for an equine enthusiast to help them further their training process. It’s a great feeling to work with a horse as they progress to a useful level.

The program is designed as an entrée to true horse ownership. Whether you purchase a young horse or older experienced horse – the process is the same. Time and Patience. Constant handling to create a comfort for you and the horse. The Program requires the Lessee to tend to the horse at least three times a week.

The world is full of neglected horses, purchased with good intentions.
It’s our hope that this program will do it’s small part to reverse that trend in our area.

With a monthly fee of $150 – you can determine if you’re cut out for the task. Lessons are required once per week starting at $45 per lesson. Please come by and meet the horses first hand – and watch the training process.
