Classical dressage is based on principles of kindness and patience, developing the horse to his utmost as a living work of art and preserving his balance, strength and soundness for as long as possible. It is the basic foundation for all other forms of horsemanship. Applying basic classical dressage to all horses and riders is beneficial no matter what endeavors the horse and rider ultimately pursue. If your goal is to reach a true partnership with your horses based on trust, relaxation, harmony, submission and obedience, then MJ Bitner, is a well rounded person to help you achieve your goals. A 5th generation horseman classically trained from the beginning,
MJ offers 25 years of professional experience in all phases of COMPLETE horsemanship from the ground up. She has training experience in a variety of breeds and disciplines from halter breaking to show ring finished performance, showing to the national level in Arabian and Andalusian shows, and Open Dressage.
"My mission is to foster effective horsemanship. It is more of a French classical dressage that I strive for, rather
than a competitive approach to dressage. The better horseman you become, the better your horses are! I come more from the art of riding rather than the sport of riding."
MJ is a FEI level rider. She works with all levels and ages of riders from children to adults, and all breeds of horses. MJ is patient, kind and encouraging to both horses and her students, she works to build confidence in the rider, and provides the skills for the rider to build confidence in their horses.
