 Lavender

Aromatherapists use lavender in inhalation therapy to treat headaches, nervous disorders, and exhaustion. Herbalists treat skin ailments, such as fungal infections, wounds, eczema, and acne, with lavender oil. It is also used in a healing bath for joint and muscle pain. This year in 2024 we planted 500 new babies to fill holes where plants were lost to nature.

Bees

Bees have cultural and environmental importance as pollinators and producers of honey and medicinal products. The movement of pollen between plants is necessary for plants to fertilize and reproduce. Both farmed and wild bees control the growth and quality of vegetation — when they thrive, so do crops.

Grasses

After three years of seeding and working with Water & Soil Conservation, we are finally getting grass in our 2.5 acres NE field.  Horses are grazing there now.

We've subdivided pastures to keep horses off areas we seeded and now have good grasses coming back.  More to come with news seeding in 2024 Fall.

The 2024 Summer has been hot for long periods and challenged us to keep things watered and green.  Irrigation Pump broke down and then the canals were closed for many days for repair.  Pray for rain!   Just the crazy process of ranching & farming.
