A Working Student earns an opportunity to spend time learning to ride and some pick a horse they want to nurture. In trade, they work with the Staff to muck, clean water tanks, groom horses, feed the birds, and walk the burros. Feed the horses. Once they learn safety rules and how to contribute to the well-being of the Ranch, they can work out an arrangement to pick a favorite horse.
